Airbag Recalls Don’t Deflate Toyota’s Popularity
- Auto Industry
- Car recalls
- Toyota is estimated to be worth $28.9 billion
- BMW and Mercedes-Benz trail Toyota in 2nd and 3rd position respectively
To cut it short
Despite recalling millions of vehicles due to faulty airbags and facing a 2% drop in worth, Toyota has maintained its position as the most valuable car brand.
Estimated at $28.9 billion worth, the Japanese automaker has been the most popular brand in eight of the last ten years.
The airbag recalls hit the industry hard though German manufacturers BMW and Mercedes-Benz still managed a good year and saw their value increase while finishing as the 2nd and 3rd most popular brands respectively.
