To cut it short
Have you ever experienced a rude cab driver or one who made you fear for you life by changing lanes? Fear not, TransAd in Abu Dhabi has found the solution: CCTVs in all cabs.
A year-long plan will see all 8,000 cabs in the capital of UAE equipped with CCTV. The cameras will record and stream footage 24/7 live to the TransAd’s monitoring station and the government’s monitoring centre. The footage will be used to settle any dispute or claims between taxi drivers and passengers.
