A Close Shave: Skarp Laser Razor Switches to Indiegogo after Kickstarter’s Ban
- A futuristic razor company
- A crowd funding initiative
- The Skarp Laser Razor team raised more than $ 400 million for its new-age razor.
- After shifting to Indiegogo, Skarp Laser Razor’s campaign has raised more than $20,000 in the first hour of its funding campaign.
A good deed and a good idea can never fade! Proving testimony to this old adage is Skarp Laser Razor that appeared on Indiegogo after it was booted from Kickstarter.
The futuristic razor that aims to provide an irritation free, close shave was banned from Kickstarter for a simple reason that the company didn’t have a prototype to support its existence. In addition, Kickstarter defied their move stating that the video of the razor displayed a look-alike of a cheap disposable razor with a shining red edge, not good enough to match the claims of Skarp.
However, within hours of the campaign being banned on Kickstarter, Skarp shifted base to Indiegogo attracting more attention and funds. Now, this is what we call the power of optimism!
