Is This the End for Google+?
- Social Media
- Google transformation
- The removal appears to have affected Gmail and search results
- Google Photos, originally a photo component of Google+, has been described as a stand alone product
To cut it short
With the removal of links to Google+ from their search, Google’s homepage and from Gmail, it looks like the technology giant is looking to phase out the not-so-popular social media platform.
To make matters worse, during the Google I/O last week, Google Photos, originally a complementary add on to Google+, was described as a stand alone product.
According to reports, the changes are part of a strategy to split Google+ into three different services: Stream, Hangouts, and Photos.
