Google Finds a Parent in Alphabet
- Google corporate reshuffling
- New parent company to Google called Alphabet
- Alphabet will be an umbrella to all of Google’s assets and will be led by co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin
- Sundar Pichai has been selected as the CEO of the now more focused Google.
To cut it short
Keeping true to their original words of ensuring Google was not a conventional company, Larry Page and Sergey Brin announced a parent holding company, Alphabet, for the Tech giant and all its linked assets.
The move is pushed by investors as it provides them more transparency and insight into how the money is being spent. The reshuffle also means Larry will no longer be heading up Google as he along with Sergey looks to focus on ambitious and long term projects.
