To cut it short
In an era where most people are deprived of one meal per day, overstated occasions result in throw of extra food. Though Saudi Arabia has been notified as a principal consumer of surplus food and waste, a recent initiative by the government aims to redefine the practice. A society called Itaam collects and packs food from wedding halls and restaurants and distributes more than 5,000 packets to needy families. A branch of the society has been opened in Riyadh where 12,000 meals are being wasted daily.
