Kuwait Finally Gets Approval for Railway Network
- Kuwait’s government got the approval to construct the railway line
- First rail network to link all six Gulf states together
- The project will cost an estimated $15.5 billion
- The GCC railway network will be 2,177 km long
To cut it short
The railway network will link Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. The Kuwait Ministry of Communications is already finalising the route with different parties according to the Kuwait News Agency. Construction is expected to begin next year and the project will be fully operational by 2018.
