More Quick Charging Stations on German Motorways are in the Works
When you think of Germany, two things come to mind: hot dogs and electronics. Now as much as we’d all love to read about Deutsch sausages, there’s something far more important that you need to know about.
The German Transport Ministry just announced that it plans on expanding the number of charging stations for electric cars from 100 to around 400 by the next 3-4 years. There are currently around 24,000 electric cars in a market of about 3 million cars, and this low level of sales is mainly due to the high cost and limited battery range of the vehicle. But this is exactly what Germany is trying to change by setting up quick service charging stations along motorways across Germany.
Would you go for an electric car if these plans were executed in your country?
