Daimler-Benz has been awarded a license to publicly test a truck that can drive itself for considerable periods of time on highways. Meanwhile BMW recently demonstrated a remote valet parking assistance feature, allowing the driver to leave the car as it looks for parking and parks on its own. Google, the trail blazer in driver-less technology, has ramped up its testing for self-driving cars and in the 1.7 million miles traveled, it only reported 11 minor accidents, all attributed to human error.
