To cut it short
Before living abroad to pursue a degree in Fashion Marketing and Psychology, Ruba Abdulhadi (Founder, CEO) was living in Palestine; a place where high-end apparel is seldom found. “People do the impossible to get their hands on luxury fashion items in the West Bank” Ruba said. “A good friend of mine once took an 8-hour trip from Ramallah to Amman, then travelled from Amman to Beirut just to pick up a Hermès bag that was only available in the Beirut store“.
Badea Jaber (Co-founder, Editor-in-Chief) studied Political Science at Duke University but never worked a day in that field. She jumped from industry to industry before finally realising that her true passion lied in journalism, and writing about fashion was her outlet of choice.
When we asked the founders how they met, this is what Badea had to say:
“I met Ruba through one of my cousins at which point we immediately hit it off. When I got to what I do professionally, her eyes lit up. Ruba then explained that she was starting a new fashion website for which I would be the perfect match as Editor. It was then that my eyes lit up, and the rest is history. She had me at fashion”
